ASPHALT SEALING
Oxidized construction insulating asphalt consists of petroleum asphalt produced by oxidation of tempered remains of vacuum oil distillation. At normal temperatures they have the form of a rigid substance free of water and mechanical impurities.
AOSI 85/25
Use: to insulate ground, industrial and engineering structures. For production of substances and materials for waterproofing – insulation strips, cardboard and for other insulation and industrial purposes. Processing: hot processing for all materials in accordance with relevant technological procedures and ČSN standards. Long-term storage in hot temperatures might increase the softening point.
Packaging and storage: AOSI 85/25 in barrels from corrugated steel sheet with the content of 100 kg and 200 kg (115 and 200 l) and in paper containers per 50 kg. The product can also be delivered in truck cisterns of the customer or transporter. It is stored in containers with the drain opening facing up in dry places protected against the weather. In liquid state it is stored in heated steel tanks. The quality remains unchanged when stored correctly.

An asphalt sealing is a mixture of oxidized asphalt, mineral and organic fillings, and possibly asphalt modified by polymers and admixtures to improve its thermal and oxidation stability. It is applied hot. In comparison with asphalt mastics, the sealing is characterized by higher tensile strength, flexibility and resistance to weather conditions.
Use: they are used hot to seal joints in pavements, wood-block pavements, road pavements and especially pavements and joints between tracks and a road – they are characterized by low dilatation.
MOZAL TS sealing is intended for sealing narrow joints of cement-concrete roads, airport surfaces and cracks of asphalt roads with higher dilatation. It is certified and tested in accordance with the harmonization EN 14188-1 as type N2. The joint should be cleaned before the application of sealing and treated by applying Parastick. If used directly, the modified sealing substance is melted in a heater with indirect heating and temperature regulation that must be equipped with an effective mixer and thermometer for continuous temperature monitoring. The environment temperature must not drop below +5 °C during the processing. The sealing is heated when poured over joints so that it flows well – the pouring temperature is 150 to 180 °C. The temperature of 190 °C must not be exceeded. Joints are filled slightly below the level of the
surrounding surface. We recommend covering the sealed joint by sand – consumption of 1.4–1.6 kg/dm3.
Packaging:paper containers per 50 kg, barrels – 115 kg.
Storage: the product retains its performance properties and quality when stored correctly in sheltered areas and in sealed containers; frost does not damage the product. The guaranteed duration of performance properties is 5 years from the date of manufacture, if stored correctly (shelf life).
