ASPHALT INSULATING MASTICS LUTEX

Asphalt mastics consist of a mixture of oxidized constructional insulating or modified asphalt dissolved in an organic dissolvent with inorganic fine-ground and fibrous fillers. Mastics are processed cold and at normal temperature they have the consistency of a black squashy mass and are free of water. After the dissolvent evaporates, the asphalt mass has good adhesive properties to all construction base materials (concrete, walls, metal, etc.). Mastics are not suitable for insulating coatings in interiors of civic amenities and in the food industry. Thicker layers of asphalt mastics might lead to longer emissions of hydrocarbon components of the dissolvent. Do not dilute, everything is ready for use from the producer.

ATN – ASPHALT MASTIC PAINTА
Use:: for renovation of old or damaged asphalt waterproofing layers and constructions, or in combination with reinforcement inserts. Due to the fact that the mastic contains organic dissolvent, reaction with a reinforcing insert needs to be secured. It is used at a temperature above 5 °C and at an incline not exceeding 10˚.

ATS – ASPHALT MASTIC SPRAY
Use: for renovation of old or damaged asphalt waterproofing layers and constructions, or in combination with reinforcement inserts. It is used at a temperature above 5 °C and a roof inclination not exceeding 5 °. If absolutely necessary, it can be used at lower temperatures.

MOAT – MODIFIED ASPHALT MASTIC
Use: for repairs, mending and gluing of rock wool thermal insulation materials. Furthermore, it can be used for repairing of details and defects in the roofing (roof drain areas, transmission from flat to tilted surfaces, attics, etc.). The mastic and reinforcement insert can be used to repair roofs, as well as to create seamless coated roofing. It can also be used as a temporary waterproofing layer (e.g. winter roofing). This layer can be then used as a base for smelting or gluing of additional waterproofing layers. The average consumption of asphalt mastics per 1 coating is 0.8–1.0 kg/m2:
- for renewal layer of roofing at least two coatings
- for temporary waterproofing layers (e.g. winter roofing) at least 2 kg/m2;
- for gluing of thermal insulation material 1–1.15 kg/m2.
Processing: processed cold. The product is applied by a brush or a roofing brush. Spraying by suitable equipment is also acceptable. Thoroughly stir the mastic before use. In case of thickening, the consistence can be modified by white spirit. Insulation works must not be performed in rainy weather, to wet base materials or in freezing temperatures.
Packaging and storage: in buckets with removable lids with a volume of 52, 105 and 120 kg and in buckets with a weight of 10 kg. Packages must be thoroughly sealed during storage to prevent water penetration. The maximum acceptable storage temperature is 30 °C. Smoking and working with open fire in the storage areas is prohibited. Freezing does not damage the product.

LUTeX ATV – WATER-BORNE ASPHALT MASTIC
Use: for repairing or mending of old or damaged asphalt waterproofing layers and constructions, or in combination with reinforcement inserts; for insulation against ground humidity and as seamless coated roofing; to provide protective layers of coated roofing from insulation strips; to create waterproofing layers on different base materials. This waterproofing layer remains as the base for smelting or gluing of additional waterproofing layers. Do not dilute, everything is ready for use from the producer
Properties:
• vapor permeability;
• satisfactory adhesion to constructional and asphalt materials;
• non-dripping on vertical surfaces, good adhesion to wet surfaces.
Consumption: 0,7 kg/m2. Application: by a paintbrush, roller, asphalt brush.
