Stage 3 Ukraine Championship Rally "Gates of Ukraine 2016"
This weekend was held the third stage of the championship of Ukraine rally "Gates of Ukraine 2016". (11-12 June 2016)
On the first day of competition, participants spent exploring special stages and passed spectator Superspecial.
The first race was the fastest at the Alexander Kozlov Subaru Impreza STi N12, and the second - Dmitry Rotkevych on Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX.
Supersptsdilyanky length - 1.7 km, and is located in the village of Polyana. On the site, participants performed two piece "barrel" - when the vehicle goes round a barrel around 360 and 540 degrees. Organizers held this Superspecial, so that more people could see rally racing, as were other special stages in the mountains and not all viewers have the opportunity to go there.
On Sunday there was the start of full long special stages. The first section was launched in the village Uklyn. After her crew went to Lviv region, where started the next special stages. The total length of the special stages - 121 km. Also, the participants drove 117 km in road mode. The first special stages Sunday "Uklyn" had the length of 19, 92 km. The second section, "Veretsky" was slightly shorter - 19.02 km. The third competitive section "Lower Gate" was held on the same road as the "Uklyn, but in the opposite direction. These areas crews drove twice.
The first three special stages won Sunday Kozlov and crew Ostrovsky. At the 6th SS Boris flaws with navigator Eugene Sokurov (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX) Kozlova ahead by 2.5 seconds. But the lead after 6 special stages and 18 seconds was made in favor of Alexander Kozlov. The next plot again won flaws. It reduced the overall gap to 9.5 seconds. The last segment zamahalnomu Kozlov and Ostrovsky outperformed rivals by 3.1 seconds. So overall lead frame and flaws became 12,6 seconds.
Third place went to the crew of Dmitry Mishin and Ivan Rotkevycha. These three crews have taken the appropriate places in class N4 and in the general classification.
In class 4WD Open Homitskyy Yuri won with navigator Andrew Roschenko on the Subaru Impreza STi N12. In 2WD Open class won and crew Mikhail Gorshkov Stanisla Prus for Honda Civic Type-R. They overtook Paul Kopyltsya (Seat Leon) at 1 min 46.7 sec.
2WD filled with only two members. The crew of Vladimir and Alexander Gnatenko for Honda Civic was faster than female crew Zulihan Bidzhanovoyi and Marie Popko (Peugeot 205 GTI). Last lost a lot of time on CD "Veretsky-1" where their car stuck on the parapet.
